Day Trip to Sintra Castles in Portugal

In my opinion, a trip to Lisbon wouldn’t be complete without taking a day to explore Sintra. The town is filled with UNESCO world heritage sites, and since most of the attractions are located on top of mountains, you get a great view on clear days. And who doesn’t love castles?!

Even though I left Taiwan at a young age, I still associate my hometown as the southern wonderland of Taiwan - Kaohsiung. It feels like home whenever I touch down at the airport. The warm temperature, the sun, the light breeze, and of course, the Southerners that are always passionate and welcoming. 

So yes, it took me a while to get here, but I’m ready to share my favorite spots in Taiwan. I’ve also decided to skip over the touristy spots and only focus on places that the locals love to hang out on the weekends.
