It's December! The freezing, festive season that we all look forward to. The Robot Restaurant in Tokyo is located in the Kabukicho (read: gentlemen’s entertainment) district in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Even though the Robot Restaurant is called a “restaurant,” people don’t really eat in there. Visitors are interested in the robot fights, seizure-inducing blinking neon lights, and girls who look like they walked out from a manga. If you’re interested in this one-of-a-kind experience the next time you’re in Japan, read on!Read More
Last month, I took a vacation to my favorite city in the world, Tokyo! This is a city that reveres its history and heritage, yet has parts that are so mind-blowingly modern. Asakusa was once the entertainment district of Tokyo, and now it is one of the most popular areas visited by tourists. Since I’ve been to Tokyo for more than 10 times, I try to avoid the touristy places, but somehow I found myself back at Asakusa yet again, this time for a summer festival. And I had the perfect summer outfit for it: frayed hem denim skirt and white printed t-shirt!
(Side note: the last time I was in Asakusa was New Year’s Eve of 2016, when I counted down with thousands of people at the Senso-ji Buddhist temple!)Read More

It’s been perhaps close to 20 years since the last time I actually watched the anime, but I still remember how obsessed I was with it when I was little. My mom told me I would cry for hours if I miss an episode on TV, and I used to beg her to take me to a Sailor moon-themed restaurant every week. Not to mention all the toys and costumes I had…… I’m sure all girls around my age can relate.
And that’s why I was so freaking excited when I found out there will be a Sailor Moon Pop-up Café during the time I was in Tokyo! The Sailor Moon pop-up is at the Q-Pot café at Harajuku, Tokyo from June 30 to August 20, 2017!Read More
