Romantic Sunset Dinner On the Beach in Phuket - Natai Beach Resort & Spa
Private dinner. Gorgeous sunset. Private tent. Golden beach. Need I say more? This resort puts on the best setting for a romantic dinner for two.
Away from the chaos and crowds of the Patong streets, there is a luxury hideaway in Phuket standing in pleasant isolation. Just a 25 minutes drive North of the Phuket Airport, on the golden sands of the Natai beach, you can find the Natai Beach Resort & Spa. This 5-star resort caters to couples and families alike, perfect for a relaxing vacation.
Upon entering the resort lobby, you’ll find yourself situated in an airy building, completed by traditional Thai decors and statues. The lobby opens up to a big swimming pool with daybeds and a swim-up bar. Lush green tropical plants lead up to the beach and ocean. The surface of the water glitters in the sunlight.
Stay in Style
We settled into a Deluxe Suite for our stay. The entrance to the suite is on the ground floor, which I find to be an amazing touch since I can leave my dirty shoes here and change into slippers. No dirt in my room!
Then after a short flight of stairs up, you find yourself in the living area, completed by a dining room table and a spacious living room. Shortly after arrival, the hotel staff sent over a basket of fresh fruits.
The suite has two separate balconies overlooking the garden in the middle of the resort. During the day, beautiful daylights shine into the room. The interior is comfy and luxurious, decorated in a palette of warm and vibrant colors.
The modern Thai design speaks to the heritage of the resort, drawing inspirations from Thai temples, fisherman colonies, rice paddy fields, and the enchanting region of Natai.
The bathroom has a separate walk-in shower and spa bath.
A Variety of Rooms
There’s a range of accommodations at the resort, 56 of which are rooms and suites. Some rooms are equipped with a private garden or pool, so you get to choose according to your preference at time of booking. Some rooms have a connecting door to the adjacent room, which is a great feature for families that are travelling together.
There are 50 two-storied fisherman houses that are set to open in October, 2017. When you walk into this area of the resort, you feel like you are transported to a fisherman village in local Natai folklore. We got a chance to get a sneak peek of the new houses, some of which have direct access to the beach. And I’ve gotta say – it would be tough for future guests to choose between these beach houses and the resort suites!
Romantic Dinner on the Beach
The most spectacular experience we had at the Natai Beach Resort is the private, candlelit dinner set up on the pristine, unspoiled Natai beach, overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Like a scene from “The Bachelor,” John and I walked hand-in-hand down the beach and were welcomed by our servers to be seated in our private tent. A bouquet of red roses and a bottle of chilled Champagne were waiting for our arrival.
The food is exquisite. My favorite is our entrée, a seafood platter with an array of fresh, daily catches.
Let’s talk about the best sunset I’ve ever seen. This picturesque setting is so gorgeous, you really have to see it to believe it. From our tent, we get a panoramic view of the sea and the sunset with absolutely no one around.
At around 6:30 pm, the sky starts to change colors from a baby blue hue to a blush pink to a mesmerizing purple. As the sky starts to dim, John and I gaze into each other's’ eyes, as if for the first time.
Talk about a romantic dinner with ultimate privacy! This is the ideal setting for a proposal, honeymoon and anniversary celebration.
If private dining isn’t your thing (I don’t see why not), you can also enjoy a great meal at the three restaurants in the resort: Leelavadee, Natai and Firefly.
The 3-story spa at the Natai Beach Resort is located in the green tropical garden, a perfect setting to bring out the most peace and relaxation. The Spa offers treatments for detox, distress, and rejuvenate. Choose from the three double treatment rooms, two single rooms, and two romantic spa suites for the spa session of your dreams. You can get manicures, pedicures and facials done here as well.
The spacious fitness center features chic wallpaper that makes you feel like you’re working out in the forest. Consistent with the theme throughout the resort, the fitness center has a luscious, airy feel to it. Equipped with the essential equipment for the modern travellers, the fitness center provides a much-needed boost for your health-conscious vacation.
The Monkey kids club
Great news for travelers who are families. The resort offers various activities and games for kids from the age of 4 to 12. The team at the Monkey kids club work together to provide leisure, educational, and fun activities for children.
